Default Pillar Molding Headache

having trouble removing the pillar molding on drivers side on my 70, looks like there is windshield adhesive holding it. tried razors and long bladed knives to wedge in and cut, still stuck, tried heat, but doesnt melt, any suggestions???

It's probably had the winshield replaced at some time in it's life, and the butyl rubber has oozed out and welded it in place. Does it wiggle at all, or just solid? Is the windshield in or out?
If it wiggles at all I would carefully clamps a very small pair of vise grips on the top edge, and start wiggling it as you pull firmly. Mine was stuck too, and this seemed to finally get it free.

You do have BOTH screws out, don't you? There's one up high exposed, and one that's down low inside the door hinge area.

Hmmm....with windshield out you should be able to see if it's sticking in the old sealant there. Good luck!
