Default One wheels seems to sit further back

Guys, I am new to Camaros and I need a little help. I bought my dad a 67 Camaro as a project car. It wasn't in bad shape at all. It's driveable and road worthy. The other day he noticed that one wheel (drivers side front) seems to sit a little further back than the passenger's side. Not sure what might be causing this. Anything we should check please let us know. He said it seems to rub when he turns to the left but not when he turns to the right.

my 78 does the same thing and i haven't found the problem yet.by tape measure, the right side sets back a 1/4" further than the left side does.my right front rubs the inside fender well when i turn hard right.let me know what the problem is when you find out.the alignment is within specs on the computer.

There is a chance that the car took a hit on the left front and was never repaired properly. Check for wrinkled metal under the body and framework.
