Default oil pressure

well i was drivin about a month ago and my oil pressure went to zero instantly. i had it towed and pulled the motor. i had a bunch of crud in the oil pickup and crank bearings that were almost spun. so i sent the block to be cleaned out and new cam bearings put in. also the crank was ground and i got all the bearings to match. so i put a new oil pump in with hardened rod, new 488/488 cam, all new gaskets, hyd. lifters, and left the piston and rings alone (compression is fine). so after all that i put it together and now have about 5-15lbs of oil pressure. oil is commin out the rods but with hardly any force. when i primed the motor on the stand, oil did not want to come out the rods but did come out the oil gauge hole. gauge seems to be fine. im hurtin for certin and about to give up if anyone knows any info what could be the problem i would greatly appreciate it. thanks in advance

Have you checked the beaing clearances? There is also a chance that some oil gallery plugs are missing, or a problem with the oil pump, or oil filter.

Good suggestions. If one of your front cam plugs is missing you would have low to no pressure. Also is that all the oil pressure you have cold or is that hot at idle? Hot at idle that is normal. Always check your gauge with a mechanical backup as well.
