Default Noobie having trouble

As you can tell by the name I am mechanicly challanged. I was going to change my sparks plug on my new toy and had some trouble. It's the original 6 cyl engine on '78 camaro and the first plug cover wich is different then all the others (straight and long compared to small L shaped on others) refuses to come out it would spin right or left but won't pull out.
I don't want to pull to hard not to break anything any help would be greatly appreciated. One more question where do i gap the spark plug at .35?

They can be on there quite well sometimes, just pull harder. Gapping the plugs, go over to advance or autozone and there will be a little disc looking thing a little bit larger than a quater for like 98 cents. It will have .35 on it and you just slide it between the very tip of the plug and the round thing underneath it.
