Default No Spark???

I got a 81 Z with a 305. I recently had a EZ Wiring harness put in. I bought new wires, plugs, and refreshed everything in the engine. I bought a new battery and got rid of the old side post one. My problem is im Not getting any spark. She'll sit there and crank forever but never any luck...

Based on what ive told you what could my problem be?
If you need to know any more information on my setup ill let ya know...

Thanks guys

check that there are at least 4 wires plugged into the HEI (dist) 5 if you have the tach hooked up. who installed the wire harness. They should be assisting you.

Did the car start before the wiring harness was installed? was there a period of time between when the harness was installed and before you did the plugs and wires when the car started? Also what does freshen everything up in the engine mean?

Start with the basics. Check to see if you've got 12v. going to the coil and that it's properly grounded. Then check electrical connections are right to the coil.

I paid $600 for them to hook everything in. I checked the wires in the HEI and have double checked my firing order. Ive been trying to tie down the guy to come out to my house to look at it considering he works in my small town about 4 min away

The car did run before I had this harness installed. I was doing a rebuild of the car and just wanted to replace the old harness with fresh wires. The car came back to me all wired up but has not been started since i got it back...I put in new spark plugs and wires since Ive had it back but the car wasnt started before that either.

And I just meant that I replaced gaskets and thermostat and all...nothing to do with my issue...just giving more info lol

How do you know that you have no spark? Like bb said check for 12v at the bat wire on the dist! If you have iit there the dist is the prob. Check with the key on!

My buddy told me to unplug one of my wires and put a plug on it and set it on the inner fender and see if it sparks. Never heard of doing this before but i guess its and old school trick.
