Rice rims...you are too funny.....
Oh, I can thank Bucky with the sweet 67 RS over at Modern Camaro for telling me about the Rushforth wheels....I am looking at one other option before I drop the cash. Just can't find anything.
I can justify the rebuild....The rims.....Not yet....real pricey.....If i can find something else soon, i will go for it....Should have never seen the Rushforth's.....But I did..
Also got to talk to David Pozzi, of Pozzi racing. We were talking Autocross set ups...Surprised he got back to me so soon...
Oh , and on a previous post I said i told my wife the resto would be north of 10K......I just told her it would be north of 10K......times two........Too late.....It is on the rack now.......The 12.9 custom brakes are a safety issue......a must have, hahaha..... The rims.......I can't explain those yet.....Little bites fed slowly.........Oh honey, by the way........

David and Mary are invaluable to me. I don't get a chance to chat with Mary very often but when she answers other peoples questions I listen. David's page is in my book marks. Mary is a Mod over on Nasty in the suspension section. Her car is simply awesome, it recently got a three link rear that will soon be for sale through Hotchkis.
Have you looked at the new Weld wheels?
http://weldracing.com/street-perform...71-5x4-75.html
These were my first choise. Couldn't afford them but cheaper then Rushforths. There part of the new street wheels for high horsepower street cars. 15-20 dia. and any offset makes them really easy to fit. I still want them.
I wasn't referring to my wheels as ricer, just the name is American Racing. Inside the hoop it says "made in China."

The one thing I'm not fond of on Rushforths (besides the price) is the little holes that they have in a pattern around the perimeter of the transition from center to outter rim. Don't like the look of the holes, and they'll end up being a constant issue to keep clean in those little holes. The 5 spoke Battery is my favorite; the rest I'm not too sure about.

77nomad...Yes, I saw the three link set up, and the Pozzi's have it going on,that is for sure.
Oh and I just can't believe that American Racing Wheels are.......never mind....Only car stuff..
BB427...Yes ,the little Allen bolts are a question, and the price is outrageous....Me have been thinking and looking for days on other options..I did this to myself..Smaller brakes and i could have left the enkei's.
But I am getting all crazy now, but i am trying to find other wheels...

Just a thought....
I won't be using my 15x8.5 Enkei's , or the brand new 225/60VR/15 Dunlop sports or the 255/60VR/15 Pirelli Scorpions.
BB427, 77nomad........
Also the Heim joints Herb Adams 1.31 Bar and Rear bar, unused, are in question......May use those
I am just saying...Shipping would offset any cheap price I think....

I'm pretty "old school" in my wheel tstes, so if it's not something traditional it's not much interest for my vehicles. Too old to start changing now. I lean towards American spokes, Cragar SS, Centerlines, slots, etc.
There are numerous makers who build wheels in the sizes needed to fit around those big brakes, and some of them are still old school style. My buddy has new Cragar SS wheels on big Baer brakes for his '69 Camaro. I think he's running 17's and 18's on it with 50 series tires.

BB427... This is kinda new to me too.
I think I am going for it.
What i don't know, but i am trying to blend old and new....
We will see....
The last time i did my car, paint job and enkei's, it turned out just how i wanted it to.
Wish me luck..i want it to turn out how i like it again this time....
