Default new to the program

Hey guys, my name is Scot this is my first project car and first time on a forum. I got the car from my buddies Dad. It is a '79 Camaro and it has been stored every winter since new. It is a good ol' Michigan car. I'm excited about restoring some of the things on this car. The body and interior are in good shape. There is a small hole in the trunk. I have been reading your threads and hope to be able to ask some questions myself when I am ready. Just wanted to introduce myself, yes only one "T" in Scot.

just got a stock 350 in it now but i want to build a 383 stroker moter. My father-in-law says i should start from the block up so i know without a doubt whats in it. Sounded good to me i thought. i know a guy that says hes got a 350 4 bolt motor just taken up space in his garage. says its mine for 100 bucks. Would be a good place to start my 383????
