Default New guy, sayin Hi

Hi, I bought my 2nd gen about 4 months ago, I'm in the middle of a full resto on it. Its my first major project and my backround as far as car mechanics goes is fords. I'll probably have some questions as a dig further into the car. I was told the engine was a "screamer" lol i have no idea about that. Has a vortec 350, carburated, the block is a 4 bolt main hihg nickel notent block. I know thats a fav. for building 383's not really a plan of mine though.

well enough talk heres a picture to show what I'm working with

Welcome to the chevy family. We'll try to keep you away from those pesky fords.
Sounds like you have a good foundation, the 350 is arguably the best motor chevy ever made (go easy, guys) What year is it? Canttell for sure from the pic.

I like the hood placement in the photo.
That's where mine is right now on my '74.
I fell in love with mine when I was a kid (it was my dad's)
You'll definitely enjoy it, bro!

Its a 1977 Lt camaro, I bought it off a frined for $150 so its not a bad start to a project. It needs plenty of work but she'll run again soon.

Not too bad, my '74 was a gift from my father, so the price was definitely right on it.
That and it's pretty cool to restore the Camaro I was in love with as a kid.
My interior is getting the Jack the Ripper treatment, that is, its insides will be all over my garage floor. I'm tearing the interior down, since we got a cold snap and it's too cold for paint work. I guess I'll just make my progress elsewhere.
