Default New gauges

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone has tried to auto meter their 2nd gen. I saw one that had all the gauges as auto meter gauges, I figured it would be nice to have updated and backlit gauges. Has anyone done this? Is it hard or expensive? I have the factory tach etc but I would like to make it more up to date. Any advice or tips is always appreciated. Thanks.

I have seen several done with autometer, they make some nice gauges.I am planning on doing mine with their ultra lite gauges here soon, and everybody i have talked to said it is pretty easy to install them, you can buy a wiring harness that connects to the gauges and into your factory harness so you dont have to cut wires. As for cost yes they are fairly expensive, depending on what model of gauges you get from them, for all the ones i am getting will run me around $800 with the gauges and wiring harness.Look on jegs or summit's websites, they both sell all the models available from autometer.

5" Autometer monster tach and a Garmin GPS. Sunpro keeps an eye on the engine for me. I'm minimalistic I guess.

Equus makes some very nice looking gauges for fraction of other brands. Schucks carries them. I priced a complete set plus and speedo for under $250.
