New to forum. Just picked up a 78 Camaro

I didn't intend on driving it home. I had it all set up to go and look at it and the guy that was going to go with and tow it home on the truck and trailer had something come up, so i planned on looking at it and going back to get in in the next day or two. When i got there and looked at it and heard it run i didn't want to risk lossing it so i paid for it and drove it home.

sweet ride. My first car was a '78 type lt. my wife loved when we were dating. I would have kept it if it had t-tops.

Apart of me wishes that it had t-tops cause i had an 81 z28 with t-tops and not knowing what i had then i sold it for cheap. But i like this one and plan to hold on to it cause they are getting harder to find.

Have many of you guys put big block chevys in you camaros cause thats what i'm planning on is a 454 with a turbo 400 trans.

I've got a 427 in mine, and I've done 5-6 others helping friends in both Camaros and Novas.

What are some things that i should make sure that i do. I have never done a big block in a unibody car. I was thinking solid body mounts, frame connectors and a simple 6 0r 8 point roll bar. is there anything that i might be over looking.

Do they have different crossmembers for the th350 and the th400 trans. Will the big block springs raise it up or just compensate for the added weight.
