Default Need help regarding a/c fan motor please

Hello fellow Camaro people. I've got 1980 Z28 with factory air conditioning, and I think the blower motor resistor needs to be replaced. The fan only works on high and I've already replaced the switch, so this is my next step. The problem I've run into is the resistor I ordered is different from the one that came out. Upon researching this, I have learned that the old resistor is no longer available, and I've looked everywhere I can think of to find one. The new resistor won't fit without modification, and I don't know anything about that type of work. Has anybody else run into this? I know how to do a lot on my vehicle, but this is beyond my expertise.

Did you search youtube for how too? I am not sure what fabrication you are in need of. If there are not videos maybe a thread from a 2nd gen website?

Well, I know how to install the resistor that I need to replace. For the new style resistor, something has to be modified for it to even go in flush. I would attach pictures of the two if I knew how to.
