I can see its a pissing match here. Look, at the end the day anything is worth only what someone is willing to pay. The fact of the matter is that there are so many cool cars for sale right now at 50% or less than what was put into them.

I happen to think sanding is easy if you allow yourself time, thats just my opinion. I find it very hard to keep consistent distance with a gun. Also, all the camaros and mustangs I've looked at or have been around i've noticed if they weren't brought back to bare metal they usually (not always) did not have all the ripples worked out and the paint just didn't have the staying power if it wasn't on bare metal. But maybe thats because I'm in AZ where its sunny for 330+days/year.

Nah, we don't get into pissing contests on the second gen forum. Too laid back for that. The only reason I spoke up is because I'm doing body work right now. It seems that every chance I get its 85* and 80% humidity. Sanding sucks azz under those conditions. On the other hand my forearm hurts like a some bish trying to keep a 500cc cup even during painting. I am getting a gun with a 1000cc for paint, that ought to be real fun. Its all work any way you slice it and a cheap paint job is a cheap paint job. I just don't think the car in question was done a Earl Shive.
