Default Is this a good deal?

He is asking $10,000

Link to pictures: http://www.fquick.com/garages/viewgallery.php?action=viewimg&id=44257

Just click next picture til you get to the end of them.

What he said/other info and stuff about the car:

Some rust on rocker panel, rear quarter panels, and there is a little bit on the bottom edge of a door. All rust can be seen in pictures. Also there is one picture with lots of rust, that is the tail light section on the back of the car. He has a new tail light section that comes with the car to replace that area.

Straight 6 engine
Turbo 350 Transmission
Runs great and drives perfect.

Good tires and Rally Wheels.

The interior is all original and in excellent condition. All shown in pictures it looks brand new for the most part. No rips in headliner or anything.

Has the original hood and there isnt anything at all wrong with it. no rust, etc.

Around the windows there is nothing wrong, a lot of times cars get rust under the windows but its all perfect and rust free.

The pictures of the car were taken before he did the front end work. He replaced both front 1/4 panels and did stuff with subframe and all kinds of stuff. So the front 1/4 panels are black because they were replaced, thus not matching the car's blue color. (not shown in picture, this pic was taken before he did front end work)
The whole front is basically done he said.
Grille is in great condition, no cracks or anything.
Bumpers are good.
Window moldings are good.
Has basically all accessories to the car.

This is basically what he told me, so assuming it is all true... what do u think?

Can't say if it's a good deal without a price.
Overall, it looks pretty decent, and everything is there which is good.
As tempting as it might be, it would be kinda cool to keep the 6 banger in there if it's the original. Since so many 6 cyl 1st gen Camaros have been converted to an 8, nice ones like that are few and far between.

It looks like a fairly original, unmolested car. I'd jump at it. If the floors are solid, so much the better. Just so you're not unpleasantly surprised, most of those blisters in the paint are going to be little rust holes once you go digging at them. But that looks like the kind of car you can drive while you work on it. It also depends on what you want to end up with. Are you after a nice driver car, or want to do a total resto?

Definitely looking for a nice driver. If I got it, it would someday have a 350 engine, and I would fix the rear quarters, tail light section, and rocker panels, as well as the rust on the door that needs fixed. But like you said, its solid enough to drive daily until I get the time and stuff to fix stuff.

I just hope he hasnt sold it yet - I called him today and he had a couple people going to look at it. I had school from 6pm-10pm so I couldnt stay in contact. My dad talked to him once while I was gone but I got home so late that they were all asleep, so I dont know how it went. I am hoping my dad said we would buy it and will get it this weekend lol but the odds of that happening are against me.

I wish you luck. But, I wouldn't wait till this weekend to go see it, or there may be nothing left to see.

Tough call....new motor, paint job, tranny, floor pans? If you were going to keep the 250 w/air...kinda cool, then 10K is fair, since the interior looks sweet. But replacing the motor, paint job, blah blah blah by the time it is all said and done you're looking at $20K.

Can't really be too much of dailydriver/project if you got some new skin on it, as well if becomes a daily driver/project you better put some money aside to fix motor issues that are inevitable on a motor you plan on replacing.

The economy is not going to right itself quickly, if you have time to save some more money and prices keep dropping you could find yourself into driver-ready SS or even a Z for under $20K.
