Default My new 79 T/A

A guy at work and I were BSin about Trans Ams on Monday. He has three and a vette. He said he picked up the one for sale around the corner from work and even more recently got one from Texas with new paint. I rememered the other one was a turd and thought man 2500 was waaay too much to ask for it. He asks how the Camaro is coming and I told him I couldn't find a Carmine console. He asked if I wanted the one from down the road. I said I wasn't looking to buy one but did want one. He said "no do you want it?" FREE? He said "yup." We went back and forth about if it ran and what it had under the hood. I went and looked at it Tuesday, told him " if I can drive it out of there I'll take it." He told me he had some new parts that he would leave in the trunk for me but I needed to put the steering wheel back on. He was even nice enough to leave the tools on the seat.

So here is my freebie, holy CHIT, for real, I'm not suckin anything for this, new car.Name: 010-7.jpg

Its a 79 6.6L (403 Olds) w/auto and T Tops. Power everything. It has brand new brakes. Here is the list of new stuff in the trunk. NEW sail panels, new never been dyed repop rear arm rests, new gas filler door with emblem, all new headlight buckets and hardware, accel super stock wires, a new carmine package tray, new shifter bezel, and a complete carmine armrest/glove box for the console. The armrest pad is just like stock not the ABS repop. All FREE. I told him I'll get him a 12 pack of his choice.

Check it out.

No offense, but is he retarded? That's a lot of spare parts to give away free, let alone a whole car with it!

I think he has more money than he knows what to do with. He also drives a new jeep with every concevable chrome bolt on. Gawdy really. Then there is his new Chevy truck. The guy is a low paid operator and either has money in the bank or has a sugar momma. I think he just wanted to make sure it went to someone who would appreciate it. Or he's just retarted. Either way I am very thankful and now can't stop wondering if there is enough of the floor on my 78 to fix this car up.

I spent tonight putting the headlights in. OMG this car has some holes in it. I'm gonna try and fix it up alittle and maybe cruise it to work. Then its harvest time. I want the power stuff and the air conditioning just in case i want to put it back on the camaro. I have a decent black camaro interior I can put in it too.

Congrats on the free car. If you decide you are going to chop it up i would be interested in some of the red interior if your not using it. I would pay shipping. Just figured i would let you know now. Thanks

I guess if it's too bad it should be parted out, but it sure looks pretty good in the pics.
