My car went for paint today...

It's supposed to be ready Wed. to pick up! I didn't call today, or stop by to see the progress. Had physical therapy, and doctor's appt., so I'll stop tomorrow and bring it home if it's done!
Good news is the weather is holding, so I may get home without getting rained on the new paint. I'd hate to get it home and have to wipe it all dry. Afterall, it is a 5 block drive!

I'd love to take a field trip over to P-Town and buy ya a beer to see your car when it's done,I'm just across the big river and up the hill lol.
If I ever get back to work I'll be looking to get my truck painted when I get all my new parts on it,seems like all the shops over here aren't interested in doing ''completes",all they want to do is insurance work for easy money.
I don't want to put a crappy Maco job on it but don't want to spend a fortune either.
Seems like it's hard to find a decent paint job for a reasonable price these days.

It's home safe in the garage. Looks really great, and they did a nice job all around. Still needs the wet sand and polishing, but I could live with it just like it is too!
Had to jump the darn thing from weeks of having the doors open. But it's home and I can get started installing a few things that wont hurt the polishing, like weatherstripping, and window rollers, etc.
Crappy pictures, as it was after 5:00 when I got it, and the light was fading. Can't see the metallic or pearl like I can under the garage lights.

Thanks! I wanted SS stripes that were subtle, not contrasting like white stripes on a dark car. They sort of surprise you, as you don't see them until you get close. Just what I hoped they'd be.
My painter didn't want me to show it to anyone until it was wet sanded and buffed, but I couldn't wait!

Almost forgot craby! The stripes are seamless. Can't feel the edges at all, but there'a gallon of clear over the paint and stripes, so that pretty much evens everything out!
