My car went for paint today...

Brian at Mountain Auto Body. He did a couple cars for my friend that were in the Roadster Show. Thought I couldn't afford him, but he was the most reasonably priced of all that I got estimates from, and only 5 blocks from my house!

Monday's latest pics. Three coats of paint, with two more left to do. Then the SS stripes, and about a gallon or more clear over all that! I'm really getting excited to see these final steps done!

Oh you know that's the truth! I can't stop smiling now! It's so close to being done I wont sleep tonight, or tomorrow night! Once it's home I'll just curl up in the front seat and look out across the hood!

Thanks BM! I wanted to go as dark as I could in a gray, and not lose the black pearl SS stripes. My painter says once it's got the gloss clear over it, the pearl and metallic in the base will really show up well! I saw it wet and there's no comparison to the satin dry look it has now.
I actually like the satin look, but I wouldn't want that forever. Looks a little like something dark out of a Batman movie!
