Like here in Oregon, it would only be the big cities that have air quality problems forced to abide.
Val, we are the poorest state in the nation. Unemployment is around 15%. They can't take much from us.

Forclosers are everywhere. We got a new republican in office who got our buget done already. So things are looking up. The last gov. had no clue what she was doing. The budget deadline came and went OCT. 1ST every year and no budget until Christmas or so. It's been a long 8yrs. They used Fed. stimulus to try and balance the budget, which by state law has to be balanced.

She spent $300,000 we don't have to build a fence here in the river flats so turtles don't get hit on the highway. Its a half mile long and gets blasted 10-15 times every winter by cars sliding of the highway at 70 mph. Great idea but I've never seen a turtle on the highway.

The last thing we need is to HAVE to get our cars running good to drive. We have mechanics taking IOUs right now. No one can afford to buy the parts to fix there crap. There are a lot of beaters here. It would be devistating. Personally I have three vehicles that wouldn't pass on the exhaust alone. Not including the Camaro.

The president is from this part of the country. He knows we can't do it.
Sob stort over, carry on.

I feel I'm doing the environment a big favor driving old exempt cars! Those trees and bushes don't breathe oxygen, so somebody has to help provide the carbon for them! If we all drove electric the trees would die!

LOL way to go Val. I may go E 85 if it becomes more available and cheaper. With the chambers on my heads I needed a soup bowl sized dish to get compression down. If I ran e85 I could just swap to flat tops and be making BIG power at 13:1. My Proform cab just needs the metering blocks they sell and I need a new pump. Which if everthing goes right I'll have before too long.

Hey 77, let me know when you make the switch, we've been running our 496 on E for about 3 years now and we have no problems with it. Our car has 12.5 to 1 compression and it runs fine on the stuff, besides its a helluva lot cheaper than race gas. Your going to have a fuel system thats compatible with alcohol also. No knocking, runs cooler, although you have to hit the gas station a bit more, but hey, its worth it. Our car has gone 10.24 at 131 so far and we're not done jetting it, i just bought 3 more sets of jets, I'd really like to know how you do as there arent too many guys in here using the stuff. Keep me updated, K? Bob.
