Lowering your Camaro?

Lowering your Camaro?
I will be lowering my camaro all around either 1" or 1 1/2". I planned on replacing the coils to lower stance.
How do spindles work to drop car? What is the best and cheapest way to go?
Thanks for you help!

I wouldn't use a drop spindal. The factory GM spindal has as good of geometry as it gets for these cars. ProTouring F-Body has springs for the cheapest. To answer your question the springs are simply shorter. The leafs in the rear have less of an arch to them. Check out my project thread, its in my signature. My car is lowered a bit. Its hard to tell with the wheels and tires on there, but there sre some pics of the springs in there.

You can lower your front without buying springs. All you need is an acetylene torch to heat the coil just above the point where the coils separate at the bottom of the spring. Heat the spring just enough to drop the coil on top of the lower one, this will yield about one inch of drop. For the rear the best is to buy new since many of the original leaf springs were weak anyway and altering them ruins either ride or handling.
