Lowering kit info on backspace

Default Lowering kit info on backspace

Hey guys I called dave at pro touring and he was explaining to me that his GT kit is the best for my vehicle I asked him if the tires would rub or hit and he said the front might be pushing because I have a 18x8 wheels witha 4.5 backspace he said somthing about pushing the tire in or doing somthing with the chamber does any one know what this means he was pretty busy and i felt bad calling him back to ask a stupid question

Camber is how much the tire leans in or out at the top. Positive camber has the tire leaning out and is seldom if ever used on modern cars. Negative camber has the tire leaning in at the top. This will give you some additional fender clearance and better handling. The only downside is some additional tire wear on the inner side of your tread.

As for the backspacing, I have 17"x8" front wheels with 4.75" backspacing. I think you would be OK but it would be close.

Agreed. If you do the 1LE brake upgrade you can gain an 1/8" too. Dave explained that to me.
