a car is only worth what u want to pay for it, no matter how much the owner has invested, u really cant expect to give more than what the car books for, look it up on

Yes to the cam lobes it seemed to be a problem in that year. Ive been looking around for a 79 project from the prices I see$10000 is very high for a 305 79 unless it was a showcar. Check out craigslist or racing junk or collector car classified for some pricing.

that car looks real clean, but I would barely pay that money for a Z-28 with a 350 and all the optionsfor that money. as far as the 305 goes, they aren't a powerful motor but I had 2 of them go well over 120,000 miles and a friend of mine had one go just under 200k. all three of those cars were '79 Camaros.

just keep looking, there a lots of these cars out there

If your lookin for something to blow the doors off the rice burners thats ones not gonna do the trick....if you have 10 grande at your disposal ide look for something else, probably a z28, or something someone has built up...I bought my 1980 Camaro on craigslist for 1400 dollars, two grand later i've got almost 400 hp and can blow any of the local ricers away. I was sick of all the ricers too!

he never said he is looking to race, or "blow their doors off", he said he is just sick of looking at them and wants some American Muscle
