Default Looking at a '67 project

I guy has a '67 in my area for $4500. Its got a 350/4-speed in it. Quarters have been cut out and he has new ones to be welded in. No tail lights and no headlights/grill. I have no clue if the interior is missing or not. The guy says in the ad that its got a straight body and is in primer.

What do ya guys think? What should I look for? Look out for?

Thanks!

If it looks nice with a solid body (except the quarters) then go for it. I would deffinatly check to see if the interior is there before getting it. And deffinatly check for bondo and bad spots in the body. Who knows with primer... also, I am sure that the quarters are a TON of work so be aware of what your getting into. I dont know too much about first gens though, Not too sure about the value. Good luck. Keep us posted. Also, check the rear end. See if its POSI and what the gears are. Also, 10 or 12 bolt.

Yeah I was gona take a magnet with me and check. I don't know if its a posi but the rear is a 10 bolt. I think the 4-speed is a Munci (spelling?)

Look up the trim tag for the factory opitions. You shouldn't be too worried about bondo but check, and as long as you have a welder and maby a plasma cutter it wouldn't be that hard to replace rockers, quarters, or frame rails. Thats a great deal if thats a factory SS or even better if its numbers maching. Just ask for any other questions.
