looking for 1973 Camaro
I am looking for previously owned 1973 Camaro.
I have the VIN. Wish I still owned since it was my first new car.
Owned two Camaros and looking to become a Camaro owner again.
Any idea to find this car would appreciated.

In the old day you could play detective and just call DOT with the vin. Newer privacy laws have changed that.
Search the Vin on Google first. You can post vin numbers on web sites like this. You can even try a private detective but they will be limited to cars that are on the road today.
Don't get your hopes up too high. If it was not a Z28 a good many of these ended up scraped. These car where designed to last 7 to 10 years. In the 80's not even a 73 Z28 was "high value" Unless someone bought it and garaged it there is a good chance rust got it. In most cases the door sagged the window leaked the floor rusted out and off the crusher they went.
73 was not a low volume year like the 72 was but there was a hugh drop off in HP which made them less desirable then the 70-71 cars. This means a lot of them where used to parts to fix the 70-71 models. About 12 years ago I was tracking down my 74, I knew the guy I had sold it to, luckily he knew the guy he sold it to, the third guy in the chain was the one who scraped it.
I wish you luck.
