Default Lifting

I was wondering about how easy it would be to hike up the back end of my 79? Would it be as easy as just getting some of the bracket things (cant think of what to call them now... sorry they usually have 3-5 holes you can change the bolt from one to another to lift/lower the car)? I think I want to lift it a good four or five inches.

Or would it be better to buy new leafsprings?

EXTENDED SPRING SHACKELS( that is what they are called) ... New leaf springs will raise it up pretty good I can fit a 28 - 29 inch tall slick under mine. I would think extending the shackels on a weak spring would make handleing poor.

I thought I paid $150.00 for the springs and then I got the poly bushing kit that came with the shackels I cant remember what they cost I got them from summit or Jegs though (I seem to have developed this mental block on how much Ive spent on all the stuff for this car)

That's the best way to retain sanity while building a car. LOL
