welcome aboard, nice project.

i would do a complete new floor, but check out those leafs, make sure they arent on the verge of going through if you decide to do patch jobs.

good luck and don't give up, lots of help and nice folks on this site i've learned plenty.

omg ... that leaf spring is just about to go threw the floor !!!
that is what usually happens to them.

and yes. it will in the end give a better looking and easier job to get as many panels as you can that are rusted on your car.
then with the new panel in hand , diside where to cut your car and trim the panel to your needs to remove the rotten metal.

It sure looks like you'll need a major part of the floor pan. I'm not sure that replacing all of it at once is the best or easiest, unless you've got great fabrication skills and a MIG welder. Might be easier to get all the various patch panels and do each one separately to maintain the structure and not have anything move while you've got it cut out.

you can get one, a whole new floor pan to replace everything all at once if you want

http://www.rickscamaros.com/catalogs...LL&q=floor+pan

They come in sections also.

That would be cool if you got him to do that, maybe offer him something for the whole shell? if it's in better shape than yours transfer all the parts and that way you would also have a much more thorough rebuild
