Installing PST susp - body bushings - rear end
I am going to be installing new suspension on my 1975 with a friend of mine who will be showing me how to do it. My buddy has good experience, but just wanted to run it by the experts in case it might help. The parts are: 4 kyb shocks, front coils for a 350 engine car, complete body bushing PST polyurethane, and all the brackets-pads-bushings for the leaf springs.
I will also be putting in a rear end- brake to brake with posi and 3:43.
This is all in preparation for an engine swap, from the current original straight six to a rebuilt 350. I have a TH350 trans and recently put in a new front end with rubber AC Delco bushings.

Welcome. Ok I want to go about this delicately.
Hit all your sub frame bolts (redoing those right?) with PB Blaster every day for 2-3 days before you start. Don't use an impact to break them loose. They're cage nuts and are known to break loose and just spin. This will certainly end with you cutting a hole in the floor to get at them. When you do the rear end wait until its sitting back on the ground before tightening up the bolts. Bounce the rear up and down a few times first just to make sure your not gonna have any binding.
Now the delicate part. From what I've read/heard KYBs are poop. Mary Pozzi, quite possably the best Camaro pilot on the planet told me that. Also you shouldn't run poly in the front control arms or anywhere that rotates for that matter. Poly can be run in the rear but only in the rear. These are the opinions of the guy I bought my suspension from. He does it everyday and I take his word like its gospel. I'm not saying take it all back your car with fall apart. Just trying to inform you of what is out there for out cars.

I wouldn't call the KYB's "poop". They're decent shocks, just not up to the prices they charge. I've used them, and had friends who used them, and not had any issues with them at all. I've got them on the front of my Austin now.

I was speaking strictly from a handling stand point. They may ride fine. IDK When asking what to run on my autocross based set up I was steered away from KYBs specifically. Koni, Edelbrock IAS,and Bilstien are tops for a bolt on nonadjustables. Not in that order.
I do agree with Steve (ATM) 100% on the solid bushing/SFCs set up.
