Default Installing a new complete trunk floor

I own a bodyshop and I have a customer wanting me to install a new trunk floor in his 73 Camaro. He says he bought a cheaper trunk floor that wasn't quite as large as he hoped and it didn't cover all the bad [rust] areas. He then bought a more complex trunk repair panel that cost 3 times as much. I only had a peek int the box but it looks like it would be the same as a factory replacement and would join at factory seams. My question is how do I get it into the trunk? We don't intend to change quarters or tail light panel.

Own a shop huh? Cut it in half, flange the center with plug welds.

I was afraid you were going to say that.

You really need to pull the tank if it's not already out. Once it's out you can cut down the panel size and put it up from the bottom if it will cover the rusty areas. Otherwise it's time to cut it, and install it one half at a time. But don't cut it exactly in half. Cut one piece as large as you can fit, then the other half will be the smaller, and it will be easier than two equal pieces.

I was thinking a seam over the frame rail. There has to be plug welds there anyhow. To the OP I was just busting your *****, I won't get completely malicious unless you ask what grit to use on the sanding.

Update: The car is in the shop and as it turns out we DO need to install a new tail panel. So the trunk floor goes in in one piece. YIPEE!
Now, if you guys would look under wheels and exterior section, you will see my questions on where to buy the tail light panel.
I also need to know if I am getting just the outer skin of the valence area or the double layer.
