Default Hurst Shifter Sticking

Ok I just bought a 79 Camaro and it has a hurst shift kit in it with the th350. It seems like its harder to use than others I have driven.

Does anyone know if I can grease it or service it in some way to make it smoother

Thanks

I know mine was really hard when I got it. I oiled the hell out of it from the top of the shifter and changed out the shifter bushings down at the transmission and its working quite well now.

His is an automatic,

Yes, you can use some grease inside the mechanism under the box that the shift arm comes through. If you open it up you'll see where the factory greased them and you can see if things are solidified. Clean it up and lube it good.
