yeah,im just hoping for performance with a little economy if thats possible, will it make a big diffrence in my fuel economy by going to an overdrive tranny,i only plan on taking it to the strip a few times a year.i heard the 200r4 is little stronger than the 700 r4 is that true.im only gonna be running street tires never any slicks.

I would expect about 15-20% increae in mileage with a overdrive, whenever you're on the highway, but probably equal, or even slightly less in town, as most have lower first gear, so around town mileage wont be any gain.
If a person does mostly highway driving, a 700r4 or 200 will help, but not if you don't get out and cruise much. Of course if your car gets 10 mpg, it will only give you 12 mpg with overdrive on the highway.

The TCI super street fighter 4L80R will handle 1000 plus HP. Not cheap but with a stand alone tranny controller you can have everything you want... but that savings account might take a hit

its not really gonna be a cummuter either was just wondering if the 200 r4 was capable of putting up with much power if i decide to change my rear gears.but its not gonna be a race car either just my toy to play with.

yeah val probably not gonna save me much,i think im just gonna stick with my 400 turbo with a manual valve body,it wont see alot of freeway use to really make a diffrence.

Well I just checked Jakes site. There 200 stage II can only handle 550hp and cost 2500 bucks. Now his 4L80 can be had for up to 1250hp but that one is $4300. The one rated to 750hp ( warranteed) is 2500 or so with a trans brake. Not a bad deal. No controller needed either. Here is a link. Jake is the dood to see. 4L80E page
