Default How many 1971 SS396´s is still alive?

I happen to have one of the 1533 SS396 produced in 1971 and of course it´s interesting to know how many of them survived till today.

How many of the present owners are connected to tha forum?

Have a look att my car here: www.CamaroSS.se

Very nice, and if it's a true SS/RS option as pictured it's even rarer! The L88 hood of course is not factory, but I like them even better! I had the L88 hood on mine for most of it's life until I changed to the cowl hood. Mine also came as an SS396, but was changed at the dealership to a 427.

I managed to find a Hi Per Pass 396 out of a 69 camaro, I was hoping to find the 402, but I could not hold out any longer.

There's only .010" difference between the 396 and the 402, so once you've bored the 396 out it's a 402. I wouldn't hesitate to use either for a Camaro if I was building another one.

No more true 1971 SS396´s to find in this forum?

I´m a bit surprised but all of them can´t be gone, can they?

Perhaps there are other Camaro forums for me to find, covering more of the US? I know this can be like cursing in the church but I need to ask...

There are plenty of condescending ****** over on Nastyz28. I am a regular there but when I post its like being a little kid in a grown ups conversation. Everone is talking but now one is talking to you.
