Does anyone know how what the fix is for a 79' Camaro hood latch that won't lock the hood? Is it an adjustment that needs to be done? It's really annoying driving around with the hood partially open.

 

Hard to say what your hood issue is. Will it not latch, or what? If it was mine I'd loosen the centering pin and turn it out several turns. Then try to latch the hood. If it wont latch try a few more turns out and see.
Once you get it to close and latch, then you can turn it back in until it's adjusted corectly and tighten the locknut.

 

Thanks 71, but I don't have the pin type tower latch. I have the rectangular type secured by three bolts. Do you know how to adjust that type of latch?

 

Rectangular type? Are you referring to the latch that attaches to the radiator support and upper valance? What about the hood side of the latch? Doesn't it have a round pin with a semi pointed end? That's the part that adjusts.
