Its a locking hood pin set. I installed a set last weekend. Not the easiest to install but they do work. Comes with 4 keys so you always have a back up.
Hope this helps

Hmm, that is a good question... I haven't thought about that yet. I can't imagine a way to do that without totally hacking or breaking up the interior of the engine compartment or jacking up the interior with some random handle sticking out somewhere. However, unless you make the lever for the hood release inaccessable it wouldn't matter anyway... Sorry I don't have a better answer for you...
I know it can be done, I'm just not sure of how to do it yet... I would like one on mine when I am done though!!!!!

I imagine the folks that make the electric locks for shaved handles might be able to help. The 'good guys' car shows have a bunch of stuff, maybe there is a link on thier site.
Yea you do have to drill holes in your hood and also your radiator support to install those locks, I already had hood pins so it wasn't a big deal for me. I really wanted to be able to lock my hood too mostly because I also installed a second ignition switch (as a kill switch, not really ignition) in the engine bay as a security measure. So now if someone really wants to steal my car they'll have to get under the hood, find the second keyed switch then try to hotwire the inside.
This works well right now but when i install my next hood (2" cowl) I was going to drop by the junk yard to find one of a cable operated hood latches from a late model car. I doubt it'll be too hard to work something up that works, the hard part will be making it look good or OEM. Good luck!
Oh also if you've got deep pockets, I think there is an AirRide system that reverses the hood and opens it by way of two 1" hydrolic pistons or something. $1500 i think.

don't ruin your hood win hood pins. plus they are always very cheaply chromed and start to rust in a short amount of time
they do make kits to be able to just open your hood from inside your car, but the company's name escapes me right now
at least if you start searching, you now know that it's not a waste of your time searching for something that doesn't exist, because it does
good luck in your search
