Yeah, if mine gets too loud I uncap the headers!

Thx for all the responses, oh its loud even over the loud exhaust and thumper cam. I have rubber between the pump and the frame, running a regulator/ no return, but I even let it run free into a can and it is still loud. Sounds like, it is what it is, can't hear going down the road so what the heck.

You have a rubber isolator, but is it mounted too tight? If it's too tight it wont isolate the noise, that's why I use nylock nuts to allow it to be just snug, but not tight. If your's is not mounted with a bolt and nut, then you can Loctite the bolts and just snug them.

my electric fuel pump is noisy too, granted my interior is not all in. I have a buddy who races and said he runs high power mechanical pump and suggested i do the same. Everyone i talk to at the car shows tells me all the electrics are noisy.

That's correct, all but the very expensive centrifugal paumps, and they whine instead of thumping. Another trick to isolate them is to slip runner grommets over the bolts and a rubber pad under, so the metal bolt wont come in contact with the metal pump mount.
