Default Hit the swap meet today

Of course I had funds to spend after selling some collectables, and of course that means I wouldn't find anything I wanted. Great swap meet, and the 4 guys who went with me found neat stuff, but all I got was carmel corn, and a chrome alternator arm. Whoopie! Did see a complete BDS 8-71 blower with twin Holleys, and all the brackets, pulleys, and belt for under $3k. Probably a great buy, but would have tapped out my winter car budget before winter even got here!
My neighbor picked up a new in the box Super T10, with new in the box Hurst linkage, and 3 different length arms. All for $900. Thought that was very good deal.
Fun day, and the weather was perfect, so can't be all bad!

I've never heard of or seen any swap meets up in this area, I'm jealous. That's where I need to be hangin' out these days.

There are a few at the at the Deltaplex in Grand Rapids a couple times a year. Another good place is the pits at a big drag race. I'm guessing your close to Kaliva (sp). The last time i was at Mopars against the world, there were 750 cars. Seemed like everyone was selling something. I got my electric fan for 10 bucks at Martin US 131. It was sitting on the ramps of a guys trailer with a bunch of other stuff.

I just need to start lookin' a little harder now that I have a reason to go again. It's great when you can find those killer deals on stuff that would cost a ton more if you bought new. Still might like to take a ride sometime over your way and pick up that sway bar and heater box nomad? Got an extra driver side door? or Fenders? lol.

Put the April swap meet at the Portland Expo center on your schedule for next year! It's one of the largest car swap meets in the USA, and make sure you plan for both Friday and Saturday, as it takes two days to go through it all! 4,200 vendor spaces, and more used car parts than you've ever seen in one place!
Friday is the day to go through the "racetrack" and Sat. the Expo Center. You'll be overwhelmed with all the custom and original parts, plus hundreds of finished and project cars for sale!
