My assembly book shows hood molding on some Camaro models, like the Berlinetta...but no hood molding on the Z28

Molding was a trim option, and if ordered it wasn't just the hood. It had a short strip across the lip of the fender, and also extended across the top of the doors too. If the car had a vinyl top it went around the bottom edge too. Mine had all of it when I bought it in 1973.

Ok looked at mine and the hood has a chrome piece at the back of the hood next to the windshield, continues with about a 2 inch piece of chrome on top of the fenders and then on the doors also.. Here is my build sheet. If you run the vin it will come back as 3 owners, however it has been mine since day one. I was not a favorite person of the law back then so had to get it outa my name

That "Z21" in the righthand column is the code for the molding trim group option.
