Default Help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey, anyone know where i can find the sheet metal for where the weather striping for the trunk lid sitsthat little gutter and where the trunk hinges are mountedisalmost all rusted away on my car its a 72. any tips would help me out alot.

i dont knowe if anyone makes that part. what you may have to do is buy another camaro as a donor car and cut out what you need and put it on the good car. i dont have all the parts books with me right now but i dont recall ever seeing that sort of thing for the trunk. again im not 100% cause i never had an early 2nd gen. but you may have to get another camaro and hack it up. good luck.


also call national parts depot, classic industries and the other 30 places and ask questions, some times they get new stuff but dont up date the cataloge for a while...anyways again good luck let us know how it turns out.

i also havnt seen anything like that made. i dont believe they make them. they do make rear body panels that have the bottom section of the rain gutter by the locking mechanism.

The weather strip used on many 70's GM cars was all the same. Thus, you can get donor pieces of the channel from different cars at a salvage yard. The hinge pocket however is specific to Camaro. I am not aware of anyone selling that part.
