Hey guys,
So I bought a 77 Camaro with a 350 in it, it had washington plates and I live in CA. It has to pass smog, so along with getting new exhuast and a Cat conv. I have to track down some pieces before it can even pass the visual inspection.
Missing: 1 thermal vacuum switch (found that at pep boys)
2 "EFE " (ordered that through Chevy)
3" heat rise valve" that mounts to exhuast manifold...can't find it
4"theromostat air cleaner (aka: heat shield)...can't find it
. Any idea where I should look? Are these the correct names for the pieces? Also, is there a manual you guys would recomend for rebuilding a 77 Camaro that comes with a vacuum diagram? The smog guy said I won't need a smog pump, what do you guys think?

buy a factory assembly manual and the diagrams will all be in there

 

Good luck. I lucked out, my 79 is old enough to not need to pass emissions Which is a good thing, because theres no way to make it pass.
