Default HELP!! Camaro not running right

This just started a couple days ago. When I go to crank the car it will start but will cut off . When I get it startedif I press the gas it when run but when you let off it starts to vibrate and shake and seems like it wants to cut off. The only other thing I noticed was it looks like the muffler is leaking water when it running. there looks like a crack or a hole in the muffler.I checked the sparkplugs to make sure the boots were on tight. I also checked again at night to see if I saw any arching. I know it is a new engine but I am not sure about the spark plugs. Any help would help I need to get this running good.

what kind of choke does it have.is the choke working right.i wouldn't worry about a little bit of condensation spitting out of the exhaust unless we are talking about a gallon

Sounds like a vaccum leak....make sure all your vacuum lines are hooked up and your carb is bolted down tight.

...oh...and make sure your powwer brake vaccum booster isn't leaking...to test this...unplug the line from the brake booster and plug the end with tape.

This may be a simple thing, but have you checked the fuel filter? About 2 weeks after I put my new engine in my 70, I had some very rough idling and "hesitation" problems. Had a 40 micron edelbrock fuel filter which caught alotof crud, causing the problem. Took it apart, cleaned everything w/an air hose, ran alot better.

Well yesterday I thought I would start working on it. I started with by pulling one of the plugs and it had a lot of carbon build up on it. So I changed all the plugs and air filter and it is a whole new car is running really good. I am going to run it about a week and check the plugs again. Someone said I might be to running to rich. Thanks for the info I will check that also.

If the plugs and wires seem to be fine then i would check my choke, could be open or closed all the time... If that's not it, i would check my carb completely if it's new then dont worry about it too much, i dont see exhaust causing it to not start... but that might be it. probably a vacuum leak somewhere either brake booster, or pin hole on the manifold.
