Default Heat Riser on the Exhaust

I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about, it's the piece right past the passanger side exhaust manifold with the flap in it, well, It's there... and making a ton of racket. I fell into a set back a few weeks ago and haven't been able to get my exhaust system yet, is there anything I can do with that thing to keep that thing from clickin and clackin everytime I drive the car?

That's what I was gonna say, wire it in the open position. Or wrap a hose clamp around it.
