How much time are you going to spend making one? Maybe you do have good metal fabricating skills. Can you make one that looks nice, and not looking like a slap patch job once you're done? I know you're going for under hood looks, just something to consider.
Good point, I think I will purchase one. My only concern is that the hole looks like it is in a different spot then where my blower motor is now. That is why I wanted to fabricate one myself. With this I will have to drill a new hole for my blower motor correct?

That heater box should bolt right up on your firewall, but you're going to have to do a little re-vamping for your heater core. Look at the non A/C box on ebay. See the two cut outs on the right lip of it? That's where the non A/C equipped heater core would be located, and those cut-outs are to clear the heater core tubes. You would either need to move your heater core over, or cut out a hole in the heater box to pass the upper core tube through it. The bottom heater core tube is below the box. The one nice thing about where your heater core is now, is that it's far away from the engine.

Ya with a little tweaking I think I might be able to keep it in there. If I were to cut the heat box and then hot glue and caulking put a piece of plastic or metal flush with it and my fire wall and then that should direct the air to where my heater core is now.
