Default Headlight wiring upgrade kit with relays

I just got one of these headlight wiring upgrade kits with the relays and it looks pretty straight forward and easy to install. If anyone has done this upgrade to their headlights I'm curious about the one 3 prong male connector (red/white/blue wires) and does that plug into the driver side factory headlight plug to power the relays? I'm pretty sure it does and I also wondered if I could remove the other factory wiring to the pass. side headlight if it's not going to be used anymore? I've read on other forums that this kit is a must when using H4 bulbs (which I am.) If anyone has used this wiring upgrade kit I'd love to know how it helped/didn't etc.

The 3 prong male connector can be plugged into either the drivers side or passenger side headlight plug.

The relay kit will definitely help with the light output because the current won't have to travel through the old wiring in the factory harness to get to the headlights any more!!!

Appreciate the info NorCal, thanks. That's what I read about these upgrade kits. Should take the strain off the switch too right? Not the reason why I got this but I've encountered some strange wiring issues with my Camaro so anything I can do to reduce the amount of factory wiring being used in this car is an added bonus!
