here's my 81 camaro..i just got it like 2 months ago but have lots of upgrades planned for it ...it has a 350 V8, edelebrock carb, flowmaster mufflers, MSD ignition, and american racing rims. im planning on getting a 383 V8 with about 400HP and 440 TQ with roller rockers and new intake manifold and carb, along with a new paint job(still yellow though) w/ racing stripes, an TH700-R4 trannie with 3.73 rear gears, hooker super comp headers and some interior work but thats gonna take some time since im 21 and a college student lol

its not my first choice for camaro since i LOVE the first gen camaro's as well as GTO's but its better than a ricer or other simliar type car..and no offense but personally im not to much for any camaro after 2nd gen and since its harder to find a 1st gen i thought mise well get a 2nd then ..but i wanna muscle this baby up!! haha

...i also wanna get rid of those blue valve covers and air filter housing.

'75 RS, needs a bit of work, eh? 182,000 original miles on a 350 with a 4 barrel quadrajet. Planning on a nice street motor, sticking with a 350. Shooting for a good roller cam, roller rockers, 700r4 with 3.42 rear end, Hooker Headers, Hooker Max-flow mufflers, and Flowtech X-pipe exhaust. Keeping it original colors once I get it painted, and hoping for some nice Cragar Keystone Classic wheels, 15x7 up front 15x10 in back.

Bobarian> That's the same tranny/rear end setup I'm going for in mine. I've already got the hooker headers, roller rockers but mine's flat tappet not roller. I've also got glasspacks which are really nice sounding but I can barely hear the radio, ha ha.

Well, original plan WAS for a 383 but I want to keep it a 350 because that's the original motor size. I want to keep it as original as possible other than emissions and the wheels. I may change my mind but I'll probably stick with the 350 and a good roller cam. And one of these days I'll have another Camaro to play with, tunnel ram, big roller cam, huge tires, custom paint... But this one has a personality that would just be screwed up big time by that stuff.

Just rolled her out a couple of weeks ago. Odometer now reflects 340 miles of fun.
72 Rally Sport still retains it's original engine (block), trans and posi rear. Engine stroked to 383 c.i.
Trans beefed up to hold the ponies and 3.42 gears. Air Ride Technologies Shockwaves on all four wheels and four link rear suspension. Shaved handles, mini-tubbed, 10" Z28 rear wheels and a few other goodies.

Winter project, 150 shot NOS and more camshaft.

Beautiful car, loved the shaved handles. Where did you find the 10 inch z28 rims? I thought they only came in 7's?

Excellent observation Kypher, the car came with four factory Z28 wheels. I had the rears custom built using the GM center section welded into 10 inch blanks. The trade off was that I could not install rear disc brakes, but it kept the sleeper look to the car. Once the wheels were made I modified the wheelhouses to fit the tire. People look at the car and most just see factory wheels and then they see it from the back and notice the width of the rubber.
