I just got a 78 Camaro with a 350 motor in it. I have headers for it that I got from the seller, which he did not have time to install. I am wanting to put them on, along with a new Y pipe, Catco high flow cat, and 3" piping with Flowmaster Super 40 muffler to top it all off. But my question is...would a Hedman Y pipe ( http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=HED%2D17470&a mp;N=700+4294908153+4294907958+4294925024+42948560 41+115&autoview=sku) fit the headers (shorties) and also, would this cat ( http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=CTO%2D2607) fit onto the Y pipe?

 

Why are you doing a Ypipe...? cant you do like Xpipe with an older camaro.

ARe you serious? You only need cats on a car that requires emissions checks.

 

Maybe I should have said that I live in Washington...which does require emissions testing. Believe me, if I could have it my way, I wouldn't run cats. That is why I suggested a high flow cat. I may not know a whole lot about the exhaust systems on these cars, but I have had exhaust systems on all of my cars.

 

Dude... I live in Sammamish Washington.. BELIEVE me... a car thats 20 years or older DOESNT need emissions.. Where are you at?

Why not just do a dual header back exhaust, without an X pipe?
