Sure it will sound good, good and loud too.
A lot of people will probably also tell you that the glass blows out quickly.
That's partly due to them getting installed in the wrong direction.
Looking through them, you'll see a lot of "louvers" cut into the inside.
The natural tendency is to think of installing them where the exhaust flows into the louvers to "catch" the sound.
That's the wrong way, and that will blow them out faster than anything.
The correct way is to have the exhaust flow over the back side of the louvers, not into them.
But...they'll still be loud.

They are the best for sound. My dad had them on his '69 Cougar and he used to **** of his girlfreinds dad because it was so load. They sound really good. But make sure you instal them the right way.

Way back when, before glass packs, there were steel packs. They looked like glass packs but were filled with metal shavings and steel wool. They never burned out or blew out, but eventually rusted out, LOL. They were noisier than glass packs, sounding like there was no muffler at all. JC Whitney used to sell them, among others.

I know what you're talking about Pete. But when you were hanging out with your buddies in the garage, it just didn't sound as cool to say "yeah, I have a small block Chevy, dual quads, headers, and steel packs."

I have dual glass packs on my 79 350. My car is never driven in the rain and is only driven a few weekends a year. (hope to change that this week) Anyways, they are 18 years old! They are loud, but if I had the cash, I would change to a Flomaster or something. Time for a change.

I'm not a fan of glasspacks... my truck had them before, and they gave me a lot of noise in the cab. So, what I did was I tore the mufflers off all together... deeper note, and less nosie in the cab (believe it or not)
