Thanks again for all the replies. Now I just have to wait for my old Buick to die so I can get myself a Camaro. Problem is, that the old grandma's car runs just fine with 125K miles and my wife will not let me buy another car just for fun.

I'm single, so my apartment is full of tools and parts. If I get married, my wife will learn her place or face the consequences

and all my forks/spoons are plastic.and I use paper plates.and my cups are all stirofoam. I hate washing dishes man.

Yeah, I remember those days. When I met my wife, I was sleeping on the mattress on the floor, had brand new set of plates and stuff in the kitchen that I have rarely used and one room was fully occupied with foosball table, darts and my surfboard. Oh, and of course I had total of 1 piece of furniture to hold my TV.

Now is a different story, I am married, have one year old kid, full set of kitchen utensils, every room is furnished and I no longer trip over stuff I throw on the floor. But I trip over all the kids toys

So to keep my private Zen or whatever else you want to name it, I need to get a Camaro. I am 300% sure, that my wife will go nowhere near it

im in nj and just got a 71 camaro. if you do anything other than classic ins. you will have a problem. you dont need cats because the car didnt have them to begin with. my ins. allows 5000mi a year which is pretty good. leland west is the name of the company. with classic ins. you dont even get a sticker in your window. only thing is you need a garage to store it in. hope this helps.

That's the problem. I want the car to be a daily driver with regular insurance because even with my 14 miles round trip to work, I still will exceed 5K/year. Plus I do not have a garage.

What problems exactly, do you think I will have?

honestly i dont know. then youd have to pass all tests. the car would need to have cats i assume. also will the gas cap pass the test? idk. does it only have lap seat belts? i could tell you this calling the dmv is not as painful as it used to be. now that they r privately owned they are much faster and more helpful. they new exactly what i needed to do to get my 01 formula collector registration. doesnt hurt to give them a call.

I have an 81 Z28 with a new ZZ4 engine and I kept the air. I live in Philadelphia and in PA any car you drive under 5k per year is exempt not sure about Jersey. I installed the complete 3inch Flow Master Exhaust system with performance cats. There is a piece of ceramic in the system that after you stop the engine it pulls all the moisture from the engine and exhaust and drips out really great system. I think the 81 is a great everyday car the heat is very hot and ice cold air thanks to all the vents. Also it was the Halogen headlights debut and standard Trans had Lockup torque converter. Even ground effects are only $699 for the complete kit.
