I am installing newcarpet in my 1975 Camaro and I have the console loose but I can't seem to figure out how to take the shift **** off so I can remove the console. Any help would be appreciated.

 

first you take a small screwdriver and lift the *** up, there will be a place for you to stick the screw driver and pop that off, than on the inside of that there is a clip, you need a small pair of plyers and take that clip off and the **** will come out and the rest is pretty self explainitory. hoped this helps.
