Finally added my Gears

Still check your wear pattern. Please. I'm not sayin this will happen but at Super Chevy one year, one of the Chicago Outlaws had a rearend gernade. I mean this literally. It picked the car up two feet. Good thing he was in the burnout box. It was a high 7 door slammer Trans Am. I was in the staging lane across from him and alomst pissed myself.

Ive put about 200 miles on the gears and they seem fine. Wear pattern looks fine. I put the interior back in after the cage and Im not sure if the wine is still there or not. Something is making noise, but it so subtle it may be nothing. I think the front pinion baring is a little wore. I will replace both pinion bearings when I do the locker.
Drove the car to the track, got in 2 passes and it started raining.
Never got in a good run. 1st pass was a 17.9, I spun the holy heck out of the tire off the line and then again in 2nd.
2nd pass was a 15.9 still just spun the tire off the line.
With a few more passes I think I could have gotten closer to the 14.9 I wanted. Guess I HAVE to get the posi in it. I just need the CASH.
--------------------
On the way home I spun a fan belt. Cant believe I didn't have a spare. To make it worse it was after 9pm. After limping a long for a while another racer saw me (Earl). Earl had his sons Nova in a trailer. He took his fan belt off his Nova and gave it to me. Even fired up a generator and turned on the lights.
Thanks Earl, and thanks to all the great people out there. I tried to pay him and he wouldn't take it. I am guessing Earl's son was 16 or 17 (was the sons car). Earl is setting a great example for the next generation.
