F-Body 455??
Hey i just joined up looks like you guys got a great forum here. My pet project is a 1976 Camaro LT and I have a kinda strange plan to swap in a Buick 455. Before anyone gets mad lol and says im disgracin a great car by swappin in a Buford, let me explain. My biggest reason is i want something unique. How many fully restored small block chevy camaros do you see at the show or strip...now how many with a 455? Plus lol the hp and torque is really tempting and someday i hope to bring that up to Stage 1 specs (those of you who are familiar with the Stage 1 may understand). Anyway regardless of what you all think, do any of you know of neone who as tried to swap a 455 into an F-Body or am I a pioneer in this area...thatd be cool if i was. I have done quite a bit of research and decided its deffinatly possible and ultimatly worth the work (to me) but im just a little curious if anyone has any ideas on specific probs ill run into and such. Thanx alot for your help (and hopefully understanding).
BTW im goin with a 72 Buick 455 and a 4-speed. I figure exhaust is a crap shoot, and well fittin the engine in may not be too bad since its roughly the same dimensions as a Pontiac 455 (however it is lighter).

RE: F-Body 455??
When I was in high school long long time ago my buddy had a 68 Camaro with a 455 Olds in it. ran great had a 4spd, he could blow the tries away with no problem
to install a 455 into your Camaro will be very easy, just get all the mounts for a Firebird with the 455, they came from the factory that way. if built right will run very hard
