Default Doing a complete top end overhaul

So i recently had a lifter fail and never caught it until my exhaust was finished and complete wrecked a brand new compcam. So now im going to go a bit more extreme with the build. Im planning on running the compcam magnum 292h .501 lift, with some patriot heads with 64cc chambers. Im running some K.B. silv-o-lite flat tops pistons .030 over and a edelbrock rpm preformer intake and a 650cfm carb. What do you guys think about this setup? And do you think the carb might be a bit to small? Will be posting some pic when i have time.

More importantly what are the heads specs? Chamber size is only going to effect compression.

The cam might be more than you need. The biggest hang up I ever over came with cars was buying stuff that was just too big. Bigger is mostly never better, The 292 is what I like to call a bottom of the page cam. What gears do you HAVE? (not want) Is your torque converter stock? How tall are your tires?

I have a 383 in my car and didn't get a cam quite as big. My theory is my engine could make awesome peak HP. but I don't drive around at 6500 rpm. I want an engine that just keeps pulling. So I built one that makes good low end torque, thats what moves you. Its also what plants your *** in the seat. To me a strip motor is way easier to build than a street thumper.

The gears are just the stock ones and the torque converter is stock also. I havent got tires for it yet there just stock size tires on the rally rims. I could deal with the gearing once the engine is built and running. I dont want to get something that is way overboard but i want something that will make good power for track and can do some sunday cruises. Would it be best to maybe get a hold of comp cams and see what they think would be a good cam?
