Default Does the 78 camaro come with..

My camaro has a 350 in it, but originally came with the 305. How do I tell if the 78 model camaro with stock 305 has positive traction.

sorry if the question is dumb. Kind of new to fixing my car

u mean a posi rear end? on nasty Z28 u can look up rear end codes. it should tell u were to look also. now u never do know unless u look at the diff its self what it is. but that might give u an idea what "was" or "is" there. also what trans do u have?

Jack up one tire off the ground, and see if you can turn it. If you can, it's not posi.

Make sure it's not in park and no parking brake if it's an auto.
If you jack up both rear tires and spin one they will spin opposite directions if it's an open rear end and will spin the the same direction if it's a posi.
