Am I going to turn my car into a burning fireball by running a 1 gauge battery cable along side a fuel line?

I'd keep a little space between them. Even if it's just an inch or so. No reason it would ever short through, but I always plan for the worst and hope it never happens.

It'll be fine, as long as the casing never wears through. Any reason it has to be right up against the fuel line? When i put my battery in the trunk, I ran the cable inside the car, going through the rear bulkhead, buried it under the carpeting along the threshold, and put it through the front floor with a grommet.

It doesn't have to go there. Just seemed easier to run it under the car than drilling through the fire wall. The car was already jacked up for some exhaust work.

Thanks for the replies
